UV-C HMPSA from EUKALIN - efficient and adaptable
UV-curable (UV-C) hotmelt pressure sensitive adhesives (HMPSA) are – according to their name – hotmelt pressure sensitive adhesives whose internal strength (cohesion)can be significantly increased after application on substrates by UV radiation (mercury lamp). These mainly acrylate-based formulations already replace solvent-based pressure-sensitive adhesives in many cases. . In addition to the advantages of standard pressure-sensitive adhesives based on synthetic rubber or water-based dispersions, subsequent curing with UV radiation provides additional possibilities such as higher thermal or chemical resistance – without the use of an inert gas atmosphere.
